Getting Started with PerkUp

This guide walks you through the first steps to set up your PerkUp account and start sending rewards. Whether you’re sending swag, gift cards, or custom gifts, the platform is designed to make it easy to manage everything in one place.

1. Set Up Your People Directory

Upload your employee list to the People Directory. You can do this manually, via CSV upload, or by integrating your HRIS. Include fields like name, email, manager, start date, and birthday to unlock automation features later.

2. Add Users and Set Permissions

Invite your team and assign them roles (Admin, Manager, or Member). You can control what each person can see and do—like sending rewards, managing budgets, or accessing reports.

3. Fund Your Company Balance

To start sending swag or rewards, add funds to your account using a credit card or bank transfer. You can also allocate budgets to specific teams, managers, or campaigns.

4. Choose What to Send

Browse the PerkUp platform to select from swag, gifts, gift cards, or the Perk Card. You can create custom swag packs, select curated gifts, or allow recipients to choose what they want.

5. Set Up Automations (Optional)

Automate milestone gifting for new hires, birthdays, and work anniversaries by connecting your HRIS or setting up rules manually. You can also notify managers ahead of time for a more personal touch.

6. Customize Your Swag Store

If you’re offering employees access to a swag store, choose the products, set eligibility, and define how funds can be spent. PerkUp handles inventory, storage, and global fulfillment.

7. Track Activity and Engagement

Use your dashboard to track reward activity, shipment status, redemption rates, and spending. You can also download reports to share with your team or leadership.

Once your account is set up, you can start sending meaningful rewards in just a few clicks. Everything from inventory to delivery is managed for you—so you can focus on creating a great experience.
