How to Sync Start Dates, Birthdays, and Employee Info

When you connect your HRIS integration to PerkUp, employee IDs and metadata will automatically sync into the platform. Here’s how to manage and customize what information is brought in:
1. Enable Custom Labels
- By default, standard employee metadata will sync.
- To sync custom labels, go to your Integration Settings and toggle this option on.
2. Manage Start Dates and Birthdays
- Start dates automatically sync into PerkUp.
- Birthdays can be turned on or off in the integration settings.
- To override start dates in PerkUp (instead of using the HRIS-provided dates), check the override box in the integration settings.
3. Use the Data for Automations
Once synced, you can use start dates and birthdays to power automated gifting rules for:
- Work anniversaries
- Birthdays
- New hires
4. Reporting
- All synced employee IDs from your HRIS will appear in transaction reports and reward reports when you download them from PerkUp.
