This article explains how to get reimbursed if you paid customs duties, VAT, or other import fees on a PerkUp order shipped internationally.
Does PerkUp reimburse customs fees?
Yes. If you paid customs duties, taxes, or import fees to receive your package, PerkUp reimburses 100% of that cost. This applies to customs duties, VAT, and other import fees charged by your country's customs authority or carrier.
What do I need to provide to get reimbursed?
To process your reimbursement, contact support through the messenger and share the following:
Order or shipment number — the order or tracking number for your package.
Customs-fee receipt — a clear photo or PDF showing the amount, currency, date, and issuing authority (customs office or carrier).
Proof of payment — a receipt marked "paid" is enough; otherwise include a screenshot or statement confirming you paid the fee.
Email address — where you'd like to receive your payout link.
Full legal name — must match the bank account receiving the funds.
Destination country and payout currency — this determines which bank details are required.
Your account status with our payout provider — let support know if you already have an account with our transfer partner. If yes, share the registered email. If no, you'll need to provide local bank details (see below).
What bank details will I need to provide?
For most currencies, you won't need to gather anything in advance — you'll get a secure payout link by email and enter your bank details directly there. Depending on your payout currency, the details requested fall into a few categories:
IBAN-based countries (for example AED, BGN, CHF, CZK, DKK, EUR, HUF, ILS, NOK, PLN, RON, SEK) — full name and IBAN.
United Kingdom (GBP) — full name, sort code, and account number (plus IBAN and SWIFT/BIC if using the SWIFT route).
United States (USD) — full name, routing number, account number, and full physical address.
Australia (AUD) — full name, residential address, BSB, and account number.
Canada (CAD) — full name, institution number, transit number, and account number.
New Zealand (NZD) — full name and a 15–16-digit NZ account number.
India (INR) — full name, account number, IFSC code, and purpose code.
Brazil (BRL) — full name, CPF/CNPJ, bank code, branch code, account number, and account type.
Mexico (MXN) — full name, 18-digit CLABE, and address if requested.
Other supported currencies (including BDT, BWP, CLP, CNY, COP, CRC, EGP, GEL, HKD, IDR, JPY, KES, KRW, LKR, MAD, MYR, NGN, NPR, PHP, PKR, SGD, THB, TRY, TZS, UAH, UGX, UYU, VND, ZAR, ZMW) — full name, local account number, local routing codes, and any extra ID or phone fields the payout provider requests.
How does the reimbursement get paid?
Once you've shared the required documents and details, reimbursement is paid by bank transfer:
Share your documents and details with support through the messenger.
Once verified, you'll receive an email with a secure payout link.
Use the link to enter your bank information and track the transfer.
If you already provided your bank details up front, we'll send the transfer directly and you won't need to use the payout link.
