This article explains how to edit an on-demand swag design after you've created it, and how to archive one you no longer want to offer. You need admin access to your organization's PerkUp account for this.
How do I edit an existing on-demand design?
On-demand designs live in your organization's private catalog and are editable in place. Go to Swag > On-Demand catalog, find the product you already created, and open it to return to the design editor. From there you can make changes and save them.
What can I change on an existing design?
From the design editor for an existing product, you can:
Update the design itself — artwork placement, print technique, or colors
Edit the product title, description, or thumbnail
Remove colors you no longer want offered
Archive the design
Any changes you make in the editor are saved as drafts until you confirm them, so you can step away mid-edit without losing work.
What happens to the product when I save changes?
Saving an edit updates the live product immediately — there's no separate publish step and no staging environment. If the design is already in a published collection at your swag store, members will see the updated version right away.
On-demand designs do not have version history. Once you save a change, the previous version of the design is not recoverable, so double-check artwork and colors before saving. This is different from bulk swag orders, where each customized product is versioned automatically.
How do I archive a design?
If you no longer want to offer a design, open it from the On-Demand catalog and choose Archive instead of editing it. Archiving removes the product from every collection it's currently in, and it can no longer be ordered. Orders that were already placed before you archived it are not affected.
Can I recover a design after editing or archiving it?
No. Because on-demand designs have no version history, edits and archiving are not reversible from the product itself. If you're not sure about a change, consider duplicating the product by creating a new design with the same artwork before you edit or archive the original — see "Creating a new design in the on-demand catalog" for the setup steps.
