Customs Reimbursements

If you paid customs duties, taxes, or import fees when receiving your package, you’re eligible for a full reimbursement. Here’s how the process works.

What We Cover

We refund 100% of customs duties, VAT, or other import fees charged on shipments.

What You’ll Need to Provide

To process your reimbursement, please share:

  • Order or shipment number – The order or tracking number for your package.
  • Customs-fee receipt – A clear photo or PDF showing the amount, currency, date, and issuing authority (customs office or carrier).
  • Proof of payment – A receipt marked “paid” is sufficient. If not, include a screenshot or statement confirming you paid the fee.
  • Email address – Where you’d like to receive the Wise payout link.
  • Full legal name – Must match the bank account receiving funds.
  • Destination country and payout currency – Determines which bank details are required.
  • Wise account status – Let us know if you already have a Wise account:
  • If yes, provide the Wise-registered email.
  • If no, provide local bank details (see below).

Bank Detail Requirements

For most currencies, we can simply send a Wise payout link to your email, and you’ll enter your bank details directly.

Depending on your payout currency, Wise may request specific information for the payout:

  1. IBAN only (AED, BGN, CHF, CZK, DKK, EUR, HUF, ILS, NOK, PLN, RON, SEK)
  1. Full name, IBAN
  1. United Kingdom (GBP)
  1. Full name, sort code, account number
  2. (IBAN & SWIFT/BIC if using SWIFT route)
  1. United States (USD)
  1. Full name, routing number, account number, full physical address
  1. Australia (AUD)
  1. Full name, residential address, BSB, account number
  1. Canada (CAD)
  1. Full name, institution #, transit #, account number
  1. New Zealand (NZD)
  1. Full name, 15–16-digit NZ account number
  1. India (INR)
  1. Full name, account number, IFSC, Wise purpose code
  1. Brazil (BRL)
  1. Full name, CPF/CNPJ, bank code, branch code, account number + type
  1. Mexico (MXN)
  1. Full name, 18-digit CLABE, address (if requested)
  1. Local routing group (BDT, BWP, CLP, CNY, COP, CRC, EGP, GEL, HKD, IDR, JPY, KES, KRW, LKR, MAD, MYR, NGN, NPR, PHP, PKR, SGD, THB, TRY, TZS, UAH, UGX, UYU, VND, ZAR, ZMW)
  1. Full name, local account number, local routing codes, and any extra ID or phone fields Wise may request

How the Reimbursement Works

  1. Share the required documents and details with our support team.
  2. Once verified, you’ll receive an email from Wise with a secure payout link.
  3. Use the link to enter your bank information and track the transfer.
  4. If bank details were already provided, we’ll send the transfer directly.
