Effective October 22, 2026
This policy lists the items PerkUp will not handle at all (Prohibited Items) and the items we handle only with prior written approval (Restricted Items). It applies to everything sent to a PerkUp-Designated Facility and everything PerkUp stores or fulfills, and it is referenced by Section 7.9 of the PerkUp Master Services Terms. PerkUp may update this policy from time to time; the version published here is the current one.
If you are unsure whether an item is covered, ask us before you order or ship it: [email protected].
Prohibited items — never accepted
These items may not be sent to any PerkUp-Designated Facility, and PerkUp will not store or fulfill them under any circumstances:
Firearms, ammunition, and explosives
Flammable liquids and hazardous chemicals or materials
Damaged, defective, swollen, or recalled batteries, and loose or spare lithium cells or batteries not installed in or packaged with equipment
Illegal drugs, cannabis and hemp-derived THC products, narcotics, and other controlled substances
Tobacco, nicotine, and vaping products
Perishables requiring refrigeration or other climate control
Live plants, animals, and other living things
Counterfeit goods
Any other item that is unlawful for PerkUp or its logistics providers to possess, store, or ship
If a prohibited item arrives at a facility, we may refuse the shipment, return it to the sender, or require you to remove it, at your cost — see “If something arrives that shouldn’t” below.
Restricted items — approval required first
These items can be received, stored, or fulfilled only with PerkUp’s prior written approval, granted case by case:
Alcohol — never received or stored at PerkUp facilities. Where available, fulfilled exclusively through licensed third-party vendors with recipient age verification and adult-signature delivery (see “Alcohol” below).
Shelf-stable food and other non-refrigerated perishables — our facilities are not climate-controlled and we do not monitor expiration dates. Items we reasonably deem expired may be disposed of at your cost on written notice.
High-value items (unit value above $500) — approval may be conditioned on a declared value and an increased-valuation charge. Stored for no more than six (6) months.
Oversized or heavy items — anything over 50 pounds per unit or exceeding one pallet (48″ x 40″ x 60″).
Electronics requiring activation, provisioning, or charging
Age-restricted items — fulfilled only with the age-verification and other controls required by law.
Batteries and battery-containing goods (including power banks and other lithium-ion products) — approval may be conditioned on battery chemistry, watt-hour rating, packaging, labeling, and quantity limits, and on compliance with transport regulations. Shipping methods and destinations may be limited.
Glass, ceramic, and other fragile or breakable items (including drinkware, awards, and framed goods) — approval may be conditioned on written protective-packaging requirements. Breakage in storage, handling, or transit is not PerkUp’s responsibility except where we failed to follow those requirements.
Medical devices
How approvals work
Request approval through your Customer Success Manager or [email protected] before sending a restricted item.
An approval applies only to the items, quantities, and period stated in it. Prior receipt of a restricted item is not approval of future receipts.
Approval may come with conditions: packaging specifications, quantity limits, declared values, or shipping-method restrictions.
PerkUp may decline any approval request in its reasonable discretion.
PerkUp may revoke an approval prospectively by written notice where safety, legal, carrier, or facility constraints change. If an approval is revoked, you have thirty (30) days to arrange removal of the affected items.
Alcohol
Alcohol is never received at or stored in PerkUp facilities. Where available, alcohol is fulfilled exclusively through licensed third-party vendors, subject to:
each vendor’s per-region availability and the restrictions shown with the item,
recipient age verification and adult-signature delivery, and
any other controls required by law.
If a recipient or destination is ineligible, or age verification or adult-signature delivery fails, the affected send is canceled and the amount paid for it is re-credited to your prepaid balance. Failed-delivery costs are billed per the Master Services Terms.
You remain responsible for the lawfulness of your alcohol sends and your selection of recipients.
If something arrives that shouldn’t
This section applies when a prohibited item, or a restricted item sent without approval, arrives at a PerkUp-Designated Facility — or when a restricted item in storage ceases to be approved (its approval period or the six-month high-value window ends, or its approval is revoked). In those cases PerkUp may:
refuse the shipment or return it to the sender, at your cost,
require you to remove the item, at your cost, and
quarantine the item and suspend its fulfillment in the meantime.
Items not removed within thirty (30) days after our written notice may be disposed of at your cost or deemed abandoned. PerkUp has no liability for prohibited items or for restricted items received without approval, and handling, storage, return, and disposal costs for them are billed at cost.
Storage environment
PerkUp-Designated Facilities are standard third-party fulfillment warehouses:
they are not climate-controlled,
they offer no refrigeration, and
inventory is not monitored for expiration.
Plan your product selection accordingly — if an item needs temperature control or has a shelf life, talk to us before shipping it.
