Adding your Perk Card to Google Pay

Walks members through manually adding their revealed Perk Card number, expiry, and CVC to Google Pay/Google Wallet, since there's no automatic in-app provisioning.

This article explains how to add your PerkUp Perk Card to Google Pay.

Can I add my Perk Card to Google Pay?

Yes. Your Perk Card can be added to Google Pay, but only by entering the card number manually — there's currently no in-app button that pushes the card to Google Pay automatically.

What do I need before adding my card to Google Pay?

You need an activated Perk Card. If you haven't set up your Perk Card yet, see "Setting up your virtual Perk Card" first. You'll also need to reveal your card's full number, expiry date, and CVC in the PerkUp app before you start.

How do I add my Perk Card to Google Pay?

  1. Open the PerkUp app and go to your Perk Card.

  2. Select Reveal to display your full card number, expiry date, and CVC, then use Copy to copy the card number.

  3. Open the Google Wallet app on your Android device (or go to Google Pay's website if you're setting this up from a computer).

  4. Tap the "+" button to add a new card.

  5. Choose to add a debit or credit card, then enter your Perk Card's number, expiry date, and CVC manually (or paste the card number you copied).

  6. Enter your Perk Card's billing address when prompted, then follow the on-screen steps to confirm.

Once added, your Perk Card appears in Google Wallet and you can use it for in-store and tap-to-pay purchases anywhere Visa is accepted, subject to your card's category rules.

Why isn't there a one-tap "Add to Google Pay" button?

PerkUp doesn't currently support automatic wallet provisioning. Adding your card is always a manual step where you type in (or paste) the card details yourself, as described above.

What if my card is renewed or replaced?

When your Perk Card renews or is replaced, the card in Google Pay won't update automatically. You'll need to remove the old card from Google Wallet and manually add the new card number the same way described above. If you request a physical Perk Card, it replaces your virtual card and the virtual card number stops working — see "How to get a physical Perk Card" for what to update.

Note: Google may place a small temporary verification charge when you add the card — it reverses automatically and never spends your balance.
