This article explains how to schedule a reward to send on a future date and time, and how to check or cancel a scheduled send.
How do I schedule a reward for later?
Scheduling a reward lets you build it now and have PerkUp send it automatically at a chosen date and time — useful for birthdays, anniversaries, or any reward you don't want to send immediately. When you build a reward from Send a reward, work through the wizard as usual: pick the occasion, choose the reward (PerkUp dollars, swag, catalog item, gift card, or Amazon), write the email content, and add recipients. On the final step, choose Schedule for later instead of sending immediately, then pick a date and time.
The time picker moves in 15-minute steps, and you can't pick a time in the past. Once scheduled, the reward dispatches within about 15 minutes of the time you chose — so if you schedule for 9:00am, expect it to go out between 9:00am and 9:15am.
Can I see which rewards are scheduled?
Yes. Scheduled rewards appear on the program's recipient list with a scheduled status until they send. Open the program from Send a reward to review who's queued up and when their send is set to go out.
What happens if I remove someone before their scheduled send?
Removing a recipient from a program before their scheduled send time cancels that person's scheduled reward — it will not go out. This is the way to stop a single scheduled send without cancelling the whole program. If you need to stop the entire program instead of just one recipient, see "Resending, expiring, or cancelling a sent reward."
What if I need to change the date or time after scheduling?
Remove the recipient (which cancels their scheduled send) and re-add them with a new schedule. There isn't a separate "edit the send time" control — recipient removal and re-adding is the way to change a scheduled time today.
Do scheduled rewards work the same as immediate sends once they go out?
Yes. Once a scheduled reward dispatches, the recipient experience is identical to an immediate send: they get a claim email (and a Slack DM if your org has Slack connected and you enabled it for that reward), and the program tracks delivery and engagement the same way. See "What your recipients see (email, claiming, reminders)" for details on the recipient side.
