How do I hide my birthday or anniversary from other people?
PerkUp gives you separate privacy toggles for your birthday and your work anniversary, on your account settings page. For each one, you can choose to hide it from:
Admins
Managers
Other members
You can turn on any combination of these — for example, hiding your birthday from other members while still letting your manager see it. Hiding a date stops it from being shown to that audience; it doesn't delete the date from your record, so your company's birthday or anniversary reward program can still run for you if your admin has it enabled.
Will hiding my birthday stop my birthday reward?
No. The privacy toggle only controls who can see the date — it doesn't opt you out of an automated reward your company sends on that date. If you'd rather stop receiving reminder emails tied to a specific reward, use the unsubscribe link described below.
How do I stop reminder emails for a reward?
Every reward email includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Clicking it stops reminder emails for that specific reward or program only — it doesn't affect other emails from PerkUp, and it doesn't change your birthday/anniversary visibility settings. If you want to stop reminders for more than one program, you'll need to unsubscribe from each one separately using the link in that program's email.
Where do I go to change these settings?
All of these controls live on your account settings page under your profile. If you can't find them or a toggle isn't saving, contact support through the messenger on this help center or in the app.
