Supported countries and currencies

Explains that PerkUp country and currency availability is set per product, per Amazon region, and per gift-card brand rather than one global list, and what members and admins can do when coverage is missing.

This article explains how PerkUp decides which countries and currencies a reward is available in, since there's no single global list that applies to every product.

Is there one list of supported countries?

No. Country availability in PerkUp is set at the product level, not at the platform level. Every product has its own list of countries it can ship to, so availability differs by product type:

  • Physical products (swag, merchandise): each product has its own shipping-country list, set by the product's supplier or catalog listing.

  • Amazon items: availability is controlled per country, based on Amazon's own regional catalog and shipping rules.

  • Gift cards: availability, currency, and denominations are set per brand, per country, by our gift card partner.

Because of this, two employees in the same country can see different available gifts if they're eligible for different products or collections.

Why does a member see "no gifts available in your country"?

A member sees "no gifts available in your country" when none of the products in their assigned reward ship to their country. This isn't a platform-wide block — it means the specific products included in that reward don't have shipping coverage there yet.

What can a member do if their country isn't covered?

If the country shown in the reward flow is wrong — for example, you moved or it was set up incorrectly — use the country selector to correct it, and your available products will refresh to match the right country.

If your country is correct but genuinely isn't supported, do the following:

  1. Verify your country against PerkUp's supported countries list — this is the definitive, up-to-date reference for coverage.

  2. Contact the person who sent you the reward — they can arrange an alternative, such as different products or converting the gift to balance where enabled.

What can an admin do to improve country coverage for a reward?

An admin has three self-serve options when a reward doesn't reach a country a recipient needs:

  • Choose products with broader shipping coverage when building or editing the reward or collection.

  • Enable gift swapping or conversion to balance, so a recipient who can't get a shippable product can choose a different one or take the value as balance instead.

  • Use a predefined office address as the shipping destination instead of the recipient's home address, if the office is in a country with better coverage.

If none of these solve it for a specific country your organization needs, contact support through the messenger on this help center or in the app.

What currency do gift cards use?

Gift card currency is set per brand, per country, by our gift card partner — it isn't a setting PerkUp admins configure. When a member browses the gift card shop, it's automatically filtered to their country, and each available brand shows its own currency and denomination options. If a brand isn't listed for a member's country, it isn't available to them.

All amounts on PerkUp are denominated and transacted in USD. Any other currency you see displayed is a display currency only — it's cosmetic, and the displayed amount can fluctuate day to day with exchange rates.

Does availability ever change?

Yes. Because coverage is tied to individual products, Amazon's regional catalog, and our gift card partner's brand agreements, the countries and currencies available can change over time as products, brands, and partners update their own coverage. If you need current coverage confirmed for a specific country before rolling out a reward, check PerkUp's supported countries list or contact support through the messenger on this help center or in the app.
