This article explains how to activate your virtual Perk Card and why you might not see the option to set one up.
What is the Perk Card?
The Perk Card is a prepaid virtual Visa card funded by your PerkUp balance. It's spendable anywhere Visa is accepted, subject to the category rules on your funded rewards — see "Where can I use my Perk Card?" for details. It has a $1,000 monthly spending limit.
Why don't I see the Perk Card in my account?
Not every organization offers the Perk Card. If you don't see a card option in your account, your organization most likely hasn't enabled it. Check with your admin if you believe it should be available to you.
What do I need to activate my Perk Card?
To activate your Perk Card, you need all of the following:
Your organization must offer the Perk Card.
A balance greater than $0. If your balance is $0, the app shows "activate after receiving or adding funds" instead of an activation option.
A US billing address. You can enter your own address or choose to use your company's address.
Acceptance of the card terms.
How do I set up my Perk Card?
Sign in to your PerkUp account and go to the Perk Card section.
If your balance is above $0 and your organization offers the card, you'll see an activation prompt. If not, follow the steps in "Why is my card inactive?" or wait until you have a funded reward.
Enter a US billing address, or select the option to use your company's address.
Review and accept the card terms.
Once activation is complete, your card status shows as active and your card details become available in-app.
Where can I find my card details?
After activation, your Perk Card details are shown in-app: card status, card art, expiry date, billing address, and your card number and CVC behind a Reveal option (with a Copy button for quick use at checkout).
Can I get a physical Perk Card?
Yes. Physical Perk Cards are available to members in the United States and Canada by request through the support messenger — there's no self-serve button for it. Requesting one replaces your virtual card, so see "How to get a physical Perk Card" before you request one.
What if my balance reaches $0 later?
Your card automatically becomes inactive when your balance hits $0, and reactivates on its own once new funds arrive — you don't need to redo the activation steps. See "Why is my card inactive?" for more on how card status works.
The billing address shown with your card can be edited any time on your Account page — use whichever address (company or personal) is most convenient to enter at checkout.
