This article explains whether your PerkUp rewards expire, who sets the expiration date, and what happens once one does.

Do PerkUp rewards expire?

Usually. Most rewards have an end date that's set by your employer when they send it, not by PerkUp — though your employer can also choose to send a reward with no expiry at all. How far out that date is set varies from one reward to the next.

Where can I see when my reward expires?

The expiration date is shown in the reward email you received when the reward was sent. If you can't find that email, check your PerkUp account for the reward's details.

Who decides how long I have to use a reward?

Your employer does. When a reward is sent automatically — for example through a birthday or work-anniversary program — the admin who configured that automation can set a "recipient expiry" window of up to 365 days from the send date. That setting becomes the reward's end date. PerkUp doesn't apply a universal expiration policy; it's a choice each organization makes per reward.

What happens when a reward expires?

Once a reward's end date passes, its budget stops being spendable. If you had unused funds on that reward, they're no longer available for purchases, and the reward won't appear as active in your balance going forward.

What should I do if my reward is about to expire?

Spend or claim it before the end date shown in your reward email. If you're not sure whether a specific reward has expired, check your PerkUp account or contact support through the messenger on this help center or in the app, and reference the reward or program name so support can look up its status.

Can I get an expired reward reactivated?

Yes, but only the person who sent the reward or an admin at your organization can reactivate or extend it — PerkUp support can't make this change on their behalf. If you believe a reward expired before you had a chance to use it, contact the sender or your organization's admin and ask them to reactivate or extend it.
