This article explains why you might see a "not listed as a recipient" error when opening a reward link, and how to fix it.

What does this error mean?

PerkUp rewards are tied to the specific person they were sent to, matched by the email address you sign in with. If you sign in with an email that doesn't match the one the reward was sent to, you'll see: "{email} isn't listed as a recipient of this gift", along with a button to sign out. This isn't a bug — it means PerkUp can't confirm you're the intended recipient with the email you used.

How do I fix the "not listed as a recipient" error?

In most cases, the fix is to sign in with the correct email address:

  1. Click the sign-out button shown on the error page.

  2. Sign back in using the exact email address the reward was sent to. Check the original reward email or Slack DM to confirm which address that was.

  3. Open the claim link again.

Success looks like your reward revealing normally. If you sign in with the correct email and still see the error, contact support through the messenger on this help center or in the app.

What if I no longer have access to the email the reward was sent to?

If that email address is gone — for example, it was an old work email — you can't add it back yourself. Your organization's admin can add an additional email to your PerkUp record (from your Directory entry), which lets you sign in with your current email and still be recognized as the recipient. Ask your admin to add your new email address to your record, then try the claim link again.

What if I'm not sure who my admin is?

If you don't know who manages PerkUp at your company, contact support through the messenger on this help center or in the app. Include the email address the reward was sent to and the email address you're currently trying to sign in with, so support can help route you to the right person.
